Redwood LIFE
MASSIVE Redevelopment
in Redwood Shores
What is Redwood LIFE Redevelopment
In 2019, Longfellow Real Estate Partners, a real estate developer acquired Bayshore Technology Park (previously known as Westport) on Marine Parkway, between Bridge Parkway and Shell Parkway in Redwood Shores along the Belmont slough, and renamed it Redwood LIFE Evolve.
The current site has 20 two-story class A buildings, totaling approximately than 1 million square feet on an 84-acre parcel of land.
The existing buildings are only 20 years old.
The proposed plan is to demolish the existing buildings over a twenty-five year period, and replace them with 15 five to six-story buildings, some over 100 feet tall, dedicated to biotech and labs.
The plan also includes a 104-room hotel and 46,000 square foot retail space.
The amount of working space will increase from about 1 million square feet to 3.310 million square feet to house a minimum of 6,909 employees.
